For its first Special Edition, Frogz collaborates with Jules Foad to produce a focused exploration of power, surface and symbolism. Conceived as a standalone collectible, the issue moves beyond automotive culture.
Knight in Shining Armour reframes the car as the modern suit of armour.
No longer defined by function alone, the automobile becomes protection,
projection and presence.
These machines stand as contemporary knights: silent, engineered and unyielding. A medieval archetype is translated into mechanical form, where strength is constructed in steel and spectacle is embedded in surface.
Photography — 2025
Shot entirely in black and white medium format system, the photography emphasises contrast, reflection and sculptural precision.
The high-resolution detail captures every contour of chrome and every tension in the bodywork, transforming surface into substance.
Illustrations — 2025
To complete the vision, Maria introduces illustrations infused with
subtle gothic echoes, reinterpreted through the Frogz lens.
Heraldic forms, medieval references and ornamental tension merge
with sharp contemporary lines.
